DESC UPDATE [Jun. 27th, 2006|11:22 am]
We are the mods!
[mood |wistful]

We have sent the record out for press and printing. We expect it back by Late July, Early August. We will then have pre-sale copies available online and with retail outlets. We are setting an official release date (for publication reasons) some time in Late summer, early fall, but be sure you can get it earlier than that from us and our distributors.

The summer will bring the release of DESC 103, the US Debut by the brit-soul group LUCKY SOUL.

The Revlons EP "Where the Kids Roam" has sold out. We have no plans on repressing it. There are still copies left at one two of our internet retailers, www.rockandoi.com and www.interpunk.com, additionally you can get an expanded cd version at our café press website: www.cafepress.com/desc

More radio play for the Georgetown Orbits: The Orbits have been played recently on KGRG 89.9 and have been met with a lot of excitement out there in Auburn, they have also been seeing air time on WBAR 87.9 FM (Barnard Colleges Radio Program) as well as on WNYU's Tunnel One, KALX in Berkeley, Free Radio Olympia 98.5 FM, KEXP 90.3, and Seattle's own UW station Rainy Dawg. The band also recently has received props from members of the scorchers and slackers.

We are sad to hear that the Orbits current Vocalist Mike Rempe has decided to leave the band. The Orbits are still playing their scheduled shows and are looking for a new vocalist.

The Georgetown Orbits seem to be chugging along, keep an eye out in July for their first international show at the Victoria Ska Festival. The band recently added sax play Tim Kerans to their already impressive line up.

More promos for the single have gone out recently so be sure to check out your favorite punk magazines (MRR, Punk Planet, Etc) for reviews on the Orbits first single.

You can purchase your own copy of the Orbits debut single at the following web-locations:

and always at

Also in the works are tentative releases DESC 104 (Silent City) and DESC 105 (TK Webb) but these are still in the very early planning stages. More info as things materialize.
